The new formulation of diesel fuel as a prerequisite for modern operating systems
Visoka tehnička mašinska škola strukovnih studija, Trstenik
Keywords: diesel fuel; standards; new fuel formulations
Abstract
Environment intensify their global activities of the intensification of legal regulations exhaust emissions of internal combustion engines, the development of low emission engines, with the improvement of quality lubricants and fuels. Development and research the effects are expressed in reduced overall carbon emissions originating from transport equipment, agricultural machinery and others. In this direction of development of low emission diesel engines, its application in traffic, with the improvement of quality lubricants and fuels, contributes to improving air quality. Propulsive materials, especially fuels and lubricants, have an important role in achieving energy efficiency and environmental correctness. Applicable standards in Serbia does not define the required quality of fuels and lubricants. Fuel from domestic refineries have about 0.4 grams of lead per liter of gasoline. Unleaded petrol contains more sulfur and aromates envisaged by the EU standards. A similar situation with the diesel fuel because they have more sulfur than the EU standards. Such fuels are unacceptable according to ecological standards. Lubricants which contribute to lower fuel consumption as an important factor in reducing total cost of the fleet. Task to meet EU standards by 2010 involves the mobilization of governmental, industrial and oil expert teams as well as local factors on the all jobs.
