Problems of monetary unions: The future of the euro and European integrations
Sažetak
Ovaj rad želi da analizira budućnost evropske monetarne unije. Ovo pitanje nije samo od krucijalne važnosti za same članice evropske monetarne unije, nego i za druge evropske zemlje, pa i celu svetsku privredu. Ambiciozni projekat zajedničke evropske valute je predstavljen kao nužni korak za buduću evropsku političku uniju. Međutim, trenutna dužnička kriza, koja je zahvatila Evropu, stavila je i monetarnu uniju na veliko iskušenje. Budućnost zajedničke evropske valute, kao i prednosti i nedostaci vezani za nju, su bitno pitanje i za Srbiju, s obzirom da Srbija stremi ka evropskim integracijama.
Abstract
This working paper has the goal to analyse the future of the European monetary union. This question is of crucial importance not only for member countries of the union, but also for other European countries and even the world economy. The ambitious project of a joint European currency was declared as an indispensable step for a future European political union. However, the current debt crisis in Europe has also taken a heavy debt on the monetary union. The future of the joint European currency, as well as the advantages and disadvantages related to her, are an important question for Serbia, because Serbia strives towards European integrations.
