Simplified regression model of uneven tractor wheel load on side slope and its application

Improvement of the quality of tractors and mobile systems with the aim of increasing competitiveness and preserving soil and environment (MESTD - 31046)

Soil tillage is the most intensive operations in the technology of field crop production. Soil tillage by plow requires tractor movement by one side wheels to an opened furrow, therefore its side slope position. The geometry of tractors in these conditions has a significant impact on the field efficiency, economy and quality of performed operation. The aim of this paper is to formulate simplified, high reliable mathematical models that can describe the changes in the geometry of the tractor when it is in the furrow, i.e. on side slopes. In this theoretical analyse, determined mathematical models describe the function of changing the position of the center of the rear axle and center of gravity with the focus to two brands of tractors with similar characteristics. That will help us to approximate the distribution of the load on the drive wheels of tractor and moving draft line. By regression analysis of the data for both types of tractors were obtained simplified models. The coefficient of determination of 95% confidence level for all linear models have a high value (R2>0.96). Mathematical models are determined based on the calculated specific tractor data, implying that the necessary technical knowledge have to be present.
