Technology news of modifying the surface layers of machine parts by boronizing

Abstract
In previous papers are described main principles, possibilities and limitations of the procedure of boronizing with special emphasis on current status and prospect of development, and with the aim to its affirmation as a usual procedure of processing in our production facilities. In this paper provides an overview of literature data about the researches influence of process superplastic boronizing of high alloyed duplex stainless steels (DSS) on the microstructure, surface hardness values and on depth of obtained boride layer. Superplastic boronising is a new technique of surface hardening which uses the phenomenon of ultra high plasticity in metals at boronizing process during whose boron atoms diffusing in the base metal forming the hard boride layer.
Sažetak
U prethodnim radovima, opisane su osnovne zakonitosti, mogućnosti i ograničenja postupka boriranja sa posebnim osvrtom na sadašnje stanje i perspektive razvoja, a sa ciljem njegovog afirmisanja kao uobičajenog postupka obrade i u našim proizvodnim pogonima. U ovom radu se daje pregled literaturnih podataka o istraživanjima uticaja postupka superplastičnog boriranja visokolegiranih dupleks nerđajućih čelika (DSS) na mikrostrukturu, vrednosti površinske tvrdoće i na dubinu dobijenog boridnog sloja. Superplastično boriranje je nova tehnika površinskog otvrdnjavanja koja koristi fenomen ultra visoke plastičnosti u metalima pri procesu boriranja tokom koga atomi bora difunduju u osnovni metal formirajući tvrdi boridni sloj.
