Abstract
This article presents students' and teachers' attitudes to the application of multimedia in the beginner natural sciences teaching. The survey was carried out in 2016, in two primary schools in Sombor. The sample comprised work of the fourth-grade students who, in the period of two months, studied the geographical content in the subject Nature and Society using multimedia. The obtained data were collected with a survey, and processed with descriptive statistics. The analysis of the results shows that more than half of the students believe that the use of multimedia has a positive effect on increasing their motivation for learning, making it easier and providing long-lasting knowledge. More than half of the students want multimedia to be applied to future lessons of Nature and Society. Surveyed teachers support this kind of teaching and believe that the use of multimedia enriches and completes the teaching process. Since this type of work contributes to the successful realization of teaching material, it should be more often used in the teaching practice.
