Samoubilački terorizam - fenomenološki i viktimološki aspekti
Suicide terrorism: Phenomenological and victimological aspects
MUP Republike Srpske, Banja Luka, Bosna i Hercegovina
Abstract
Terrorism poses a very strong challenge to the global security, that is, it manifests itself as a global security problem. Namely, terrorism represents a multidimensional threat to security - for some countries it is only a possible challenge or risk, for others it is a possible threat, while for others it is a current, even the biggest threat to their security. In addition to that, the number of suicide terrorist attacks is increasing worldwide, and terrorist threat to the world with weapons of mass destruction, that is threat from nuclear, chemical and biological terrorism becomes more and more evident. By analyzing the ways in which terrorism manifests itself, that is its phenomenal forms, it can be concluded that in the last two decades of the XX century and on the beginning of the XXI century, the world has faced the culmination of specific form of terrorism that is, suicide terrorism, where terrorists - suicide bombers, became one of the most efficient terrorist weapons and often an irreplaceable modus operandi for some terrorist organizations. So, modern terrorism strongly endangers security and peace in some regions of the world, but in the whole international community too. Global social changes have influenced greatly the character of terrorism, which had its implications on current and possible forms of terrorism.
