A brief overview of modern trends in the use of engineering materials

Abstract
In the paper analyze some directions development and application of the most important types of modern engineering materials which are used for the production of industrial products and manufacture. Summary of the development and application modern materials have tried to indicate and approach some of the elements from a wide spectrum of research directions within the broad field, which includes materials science. Besides, are summarized current and potential application of nanotechnology. Especially are described the basic properties some the full volume nanostructured materials, whit a brief review on the state of research potential in our country.
