Pancevo depending on fertilization with nitrogen fertilization one-year, two-year and three-year cultivation period

Abstract
In the experiment with marshmallow planted on calcareous chernozem soil in Mosorin, with invariable quantities of phosphorus and potassium (80 kg P2O5 ha-1 - 100 kg K2O ha-1), different quantities of nitrogen from 0 to 120 kg N ha-1 had been tested on one-year old, two-year old and three-year old plants. The results show that, during all three cultivation periods, the highest marshmallow dry root yield (Altheae radix) was obtained on the experiment lot without nitrogen fertilization (control) 5148 kg ha-1 during cultivation period of one year, 6888 kg ha-1 during cultivation period of two years, and 7500 kg ha-1 during cultivation period of three years. It has been determined that the increase of nitrogen quantity, proportionally reduces the drug yield in all cultivation periods, which enhances the possibility to obtain high yield of this species through organic cultivation.
