Dynamics of nitrate-nitrogen in soil under sugar beet in dependence of fertilization levels

Abstract
Researches which lasted two years were carried out on stationary field trial at Rimski Šančevi. In this trial were investigated eight fertilization variants with increasing doses of N, P2O5 and K2O (control, N100P100 N100K100, N50P100K100, N100P100K100, N100P150K150, N150P100K100 N150P150K150)- In the spring, before applying of N fertilizers, during vegetation and after extruding of sugar beet root, content of mineral N in the soil and its influence on yield and quality was investigated. Amounts of NO3-N in the soil in spring, before sugar beet sowing, in the year 2002. had significant influence on root yield and refined sugar yield. In the year 2003, which was dry, high correlation ratio were gained between amounts of NO3-N in the soil and root quality parameters, but it wasn't significant between nitrogen amounts and root yield and refined sugar.
