Abstract
Masonry had a great role in creation of Yugoslavia in1918 and its functioning until 1941. All the factors of unison in 1918 were close to the masonry, a Yugoslav Committee in London, in particular, and so was Ante Trumbić. The main aim of masonry in that period was raising of Yugoslav spirit in relation to the national feeling of being Serbian and Croatian. Masons had a special role in creating the Constitution issued by decree in 1931, creating royal parties and struggling against any form of separatism. Many outstanding politicians of that period were masons. Milan Stojadinović was not one of them, but he used them for his purposes. Masons played an important role in the event of March 27, 1941, they had always been for traditional allies such as French and the British and against Nazism and fascism. Yugoslav Jews were especially involved in the masonry or were under their influence.
