Panel analiza veze SDI i trgovinskog bilansa odabranih evropskih ekonomija u razvoju i usponu

Sažetak
Istraživanje fokusira vezu stranih direktnih investicija (SDI) i eksterne ravnoteže u odabranim evropskim ekonomijama u razvoju i usponu (EERU). Zemlje u razvoju i usponu u procesu konvergencije imaju problem strukturne eksterne neravnoteže koja se pokriva prilivima stranog kapitala. SDI su dugoročan i održiv izvor finansiranja deficita bilansa tekućih transakcija. Cilj rada je testiranje da li su SDI zajedno sa odabranim makroekonomskim indikatorima značajni faktori trgovinskog bilansa u EERU radi pružanja korisnih implikacija kreatorima ekonomske politike u ekonomijama u razvoju i usponu. Istraživačka hipoteza se testira primenom robusnih mikro panel modela na ukupnom uzorku i u dva podperioda: pre i posle strukturnog loma izazvanog globalnom finansijskom krizom (GFK). Rezultati ukazuju da su veći prilivi SDI značajno povezani sa negativnim saldom trgovinskog bilansa na nivou ukupnog uzorka tj. da se prosečna deficitna eksterna pozicija finansira prilivima SDI. Takođe, veštačka varijabla za grupu Zapadnog Balkana upućuje da su SDI značajna varijabla koja finansira ekternu neravnotežu u ovom poduzorku. Preporuke državnoj politici su usmerene ka podsticajnim merama za privlačenje većeg priliva SDI, posebno grinfild investicija motivisanih većom efikasnošću i stimulacijom izvoza radi stabilizacije trgovinskog bilansa i ubrzanja ekonomskog rasta.
