Abstract
The text contains a concise biography with an excerpt from the bibliography of dr. Ljubiša Mitrović, full professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš, one of the more renowned Serbian general and developmental sociologist of the older generation. Professor Mitrović has obliged the Serbian and Balkan science with numerous valuable books and articles in various sociological branches. Apart from the high theoretical achievement in the sociological disciplines that he deals with, he is also very dedicated to managing scientific projects and raising the sociological youth, and is thus far the most significant sociologist of the so-called Niš school of sociology.
Sažetak
U tekstu se daje sažeta biografija sa izvodom iz bibliografije dr Ljubiše Mitrovića, redovnog profesora na Departmanu za sociologiju Filozofskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Nišu, jednog od poznatijih srpskih opštih sociologa i sociologa razvoja starije dobi. Profesor Mitrović je zadužio srpsku i balkansku nauku brojnim vrednim knjigama i člancima iz niza socioloških grana. Pored visokog teorijskog dometa u sociološkim disciplinama kojima se bavi, on je veoma posvećen rukovođenju naučnih projekata i uzdizanju sociološkog podmlatka, do sada bez daljeg najznačajniji sociolog iz tzv. Niške sociološke škole.
