Zapadna kultura i digitalno - od polisa do virtuelne zajednice

Sažetak
U radu se analiziraju pojedini aspekti razvoja zapadne kulture od njenih početaka u antičkoj Grčkoj, pa do savremenih tendencija iskazanih putem digitalnih tehnologija. Autori ukazuju na mogućnosti, koje se javljaju masovnim korišćenjem savremenih digitalnih tehnologija, za modifikaciju savremenog okvira zapadne kulture i njegovo prilagođavanje danas potisnutim tradicijama koje ova kultura baštini iz perioda antike. Identifikuju se važni aspekti razvoja koji su odlučujuće definisali fenomen grčkog polisa i postavili trajne osnove zapadne kulture i razmatraju se sličnosti i razlike sa društvenim inovacijama podstaknutim masovnim korišćenjem Veb 2.0 (Web 2.0) tehnologija početkom 21. veka. Posebno se analiziraju procesi izgradnje i funkcionisanja zajednice i porede vrednosti na osnovu kojih je funkcionisao grčki polis i vrednosti na osnovu kojih funkcionišu današnje virtuelne zajednice. Fenomeni osećanja pripadnosti, masovnog učestvovanja, uticaja zajednice na izgradnju pojedinca i značaja amaterizma objašnjavaju se u svom izvornom pojavnom obliku u okvirima polisa, a zatim se analiziraju potencijali koje oživljavanje ovih fenomena ima u kontekstu široke primene digitalnih tehnologija danas.
