Sažetak
Konvencionalne metode za prečišćavanje voda karakterišu brojni nedostaci poput nepotpunog uklanjanja metala, visoka cena reagenasa, visoke energetske potrebe, stvaranje toksičnog mulja ili drugih nus proizvoda koji zahtevaju pažljivo rukovanje. Ovi nedostaci su bili imperativ za istraživanje novih ekonomski isplativih, tehnički lako izvodljivih i efikasnijih tretmana otpadnih voda. Biosorpcija je značajna alternativa konvencionalnim sistemima za uklanjanje raznih organskih i neorganskih polutanata iz industrijskih otpadnih voda. Istraživanja u ovom pravcu su doprinela pojavi brojnih biosorbenata na bazi sekundarnih sirovina prehrambene industrije. Razvoj procesa biosorpcije usmerio je dalja istraživanja u pravcu modelovanja regenerativnih biosorbenata i čvrstih, poroznih kompozita za imobilizovanje biomase. Postupci granulisanja i imobilizacije su neka od rešenja kako bi se pomenuti nedostaci prevazišli. U tom smislu, u radu su razmatrani neki novi keramički kompoziti pogodni za imobilizaciju, njihovi tehnološki postupci dobijanja i karakteristike u procesu biosorpcije. Ovi ekološki kompoziti imaju poseban značaj za komercijalnu eksploataciju biosorbenata u procesu prečišćavanja industrijskih, komunalnih ili drugih zagađenih voda.
