Relation problems in esthetics and pedagogy in literature for children and youth
Problemi odnosa estetskog i pedagoškog u literaturi za decu i omladinu

Abstract
An esthetic dimension in its widest sense is visible in literature for children, being its integral part and content along with the esthetic, educational-didactic and other components. Moral and humane values, thoughts and proverbs have always been a topic in literature; life experience and life wisdom have also been a constant form of expression in literature and art in general. The begging's of Serbian literature for children - the works of folk narrators, the fairy tales and the fables by its forerunner J.J. Zmaj and his followers, all reflect a strong humane, didactic and educational note which, at the very best of them, was not subdued to literary artistic values they were creating. There is no doubt that even today one of the functions of this kind of literature is to present and interpret what in other ways is not able to interpret the ever-lasting moral, esthetic and pedagogic values.
Sažetak
U književnosti za decu prisutna je etička dimenzija u najširem smislu reči, ona je njen sastavni deo i sadržaj, zajedno sa estetskom, vaspitno-didaktičkim i drugim komponentama. Moralne i ljudske vrednosti, misli i poslovice, uvek su bile predmet književnosti; životno iskustvo i životna mudrost takođe su konstantno nalazile svoj izraz u književnosti i umetnosti uopšte. Ako se sećamo početka srpske književnosti za decu - dela narodnih pripovedača, bajki i basni njenog rodonačelnika J. J. Zmaja i njegovih sledbenika, zapazićemo u njima snažnu humanističku, poučnu, vaspitnu notu koja, kod najboljih među njima, nije išla na račun umetničkih kvaliteta literature koju su stvarali. Nema sumnje da je i danas jedna od funkcija ove književnosti, da deci saopšti i približi ono što im se na drugi način ne može tako uspešno približiti trajne moralne, estetske i pedagoške vrednosti.
