Faith and ethos of the Orthodox Church
Sažetak
Cilj ovog istraživanja je analiza etosa koji je razvila, oblikovala i ustoličila sekularizacija Crkve na Zapadu, preko etike usiokratije, odnosno vladavine prirode, preko juridičke etike i civilizacije novijeg doba. Zatim, daću jedan kratak opis i procenu otuđenosti pravoslavnog etosa sa posebnim naglaskom na probleme u savremenom pravoslavlju. Verska otuđenost, kao lažno obrazovanje hrišćanskog etosa, vezana je za sekularizaciju Crkve kod zapadnih hrišćana koja se razvijala unutar strukture i organizacije crkvenog života, podrivajući i samu istinu Crkve. Polazišta i pretpostavke civilizacije novog doba i potrošačkog dobrožitija smeštana su obratno u versku metafiziku zapadnog hrišćanstva, realnost koja tumači sam pojam sekularizacije. U tom kontekstu zahteva se novi pristup Crkve i njene teologije savremenim izazovima.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is an analysis of ethos that has been developed, formed and enthorned by age of secularization of Church in the West, through the ethics of usiocracy (ie. 'nature domination'), juridical ethics and the new civilization. Afterwards, I shall give a short description and evaluation of orthodox ethos estrangement; I shall put special emphasis on problems in modern Orthodoxy. Occurred as false form of the Christian ethos, estrangement of faith is related to the secularization of the Church among the Christians from the West. The secularization has been developed in the structure and organization of life in Church, and it was undermining the Truth of the Church. Converesly, the starting points and assumptions of the modern civilization and the consumer prosperity have been located in the metaphysics of faith in Western Christianity, ie. these became part of reality that interprets the very concept of secularization. In this context, we need a new approach of the Church and theology winch would be appropriate for modern challenges.
