Korisna i šteta dejstva korovske vrste Asclepias syriaca i mogućnost suzbijanja

Sažetak
Poslednjih decenija, invazivni korovi postaju ogroman problem, kako u prirodnim ekosistemima, gde negativno utiču na prisutnu floru, tako i na poljoprivrednim površinama, gde u kratkom vremenskom periodu postaju dominantni korovi, teški za kontrolu. Jedan od takvih korova je i Asclepias syriaca u narodu poznat kao svilenica ili cigansko perje. Široko rasprostranjena na području Vojvodine ali i šire, predstavlja ogroman problem poljoprivrednicima kada se ustali na njivi, gde se teško suzbija hemijskim merama. Najefikasniji način suzbijanja ovog korova je primena herbicida na bazi glifosata ili 2,4-D, u ranim fazama razvoja biljke, a dobre rezultate dale su i mehaničke mere suzbijanja konstantnim čupanjem ili košenjem čime se iscrpljuje koren. Ipak, najefikasniji način suzbijanja svilenice je kombinacija primene hemijskih i mehaničkih mera suzbijanja. Iako izuzetno štetna, ova korovska vrsta ima potencijal da nađe praktičnu primenu u kontroli nekih drugih korovskih vrsta i fitopatogenih mikroorganizama.
