Značaj donošenja Direktive o distribuciji osiguranja
The importance of adopting the insurance distribution directive
Abstract
One of the most interesting topics in the field of insurance is certainly the adoption and implementation of the new Insurance Distribution Directive. By using the method of theoretical analysis, the author investigates what are the new rules contained in the Directive and how its implementation has influenced the improvement of the insurance market. In her work, the author points out that the implementation of new insurance rules will significantly affect all insurance participants, agents, brokers, insurance companies and others, since it represents one of the most important reforms in the insurance market and a significant step forward in improving the level protection of users of insurance services (consumers). Initially, the author makes a review of the introduction of the "new" term of distribution, briefly describes the types of insurance and reinsurance distribution channels, then examines the reasons for adopting the Directive, describes the new rules, putting the greatest emphasis on the introduction of a standardized document with all information on the insurance product.
