Maladaptivno ponašanje kod osoba sa intelektualnom ometenošću

Sažetak
Cilj ovog rada je da se pregledom dostupne literature omogući bolje razumijevanje prevalence i oblika maladaptivnog ponašanja, kao i faktora koji su povezani sa ovim ponašanjem kod osoba sa intelektualnom ometenošću. Maladaptivno ponašanje je ponašanje koje je dovoljno često i/ili dovoljno ozbiljno da ograničava sposobnost funkcionisanja osobe u svakodnevnom životu, učenja novih vještina i sticanja pristupa društvenim resursima. Ono obuhvata niz ponašanja kao što su: fizička agresija prema stvarima ili ljudima, samopovređivanje, stereotipno ponašanje, seksualno neprimjereno ponašanje, uvredljivo ponašanje i dr. Studije naglašavaju velike varijacije u prevalenci maladaptivnog ponašanja kod osoba sa intelektualnom ometenošću koje se kreću u rasponu od 5,7% do 63,9%. Na pojavu maladaptivnog ponašanja može da utiče više faktora od kojih su značajni: pol, starost, težina IO, dodatna oštećenja, rezidencijalno okruženje, kognitivno-emocionalni faktori, disfunkcija komunikacije i dr. Zajednička karakteristika svih ovih ponašanja je negativan efekat na kvalitet života same osobe i osoblja koje se brine o njima. Pored psihotropnih lijekova i bihevioralnih metoda, u liječenju maladaptivnog ponašanja se koriste razne psihoterapijske metode, kognitivni i emocionalni treninzi, kreativne terapijske metode i funkcionalna analiza ponašanja. Uslov je da su prilagođene razvojnom nivou individue i njenom načinu komunikacije.
