Abstract
In this study, the authors present the questions of economic relations development on the territory of Balkan Peninsula in the period of ancient history. The special retrospection is made on the development of the economic relations in ancient Greece, which is considered to be the first European civilization. Economic relations built in Greece had a significant influence on the development of economy and culture of the nearby countries, as well as of the countries the where colonized or habited by the Greeks. Together with the culture acquisition, at the first place in the fields of science and art, Greeks obtrude their already built social and economic relation to the aborigines of the populous regions. This affined the arrangement of economy and society of the new countries. Agriculture, handicraft and trade were developed at the ancient Greece up to the level witch contributed the survival of their countries and nations. With the arrival of the Romans, the status of Greece as the dominant economic force on the territory of Balkan Peninsula slowly fades, and the new powerful empire takes over the leading role.
