Sažetak
Iako je debata po pitanju odnosa između menadžmenta/menadžera i liderstva/ lidera u menadžment nauci prisutna već decenijama, ona još uvek nije rezultirala nekim jedinstvenim stavom. Decenijama preovlađujući pristup prema kojem između menadžmenta/menadžera i liderstva/lidera ne postoji znak jednakosti, tokom poslednjih godina ustupa mesto drugačijem pristupu koji ističe visok nivo preklapanja i sličnosti između navedenih kategorija. U radu se ova dva pristupa samo uslovno označavaju kao tradicionalni i savremeni i istovremeno se ukazuje na njihovu suštinu. Autor ovog rada smatra da su sve one analize koje prilikom razmatranja odnosa između menadžmenta/menadžera i liderstva/lidera ne uzimaju u obzir činjenicu da je u organizacijama moguće identifikovati dva izražena tipa liderstva/lidera (formalno i neformalno) manjkave i nekompletne. U radu se ističe da odnos između menadžmenta/menadžera i formalnog liderstva/lidera nije identičan odnosu koji postoji između menadžmenta/menadžera i neformalnog liderstva/lidera.
