Stability of tank-mixed fungicides, insecticides and mineral fertilizers depending on water quality

Abstract
Stability of suspensions and emulsions of insecticides, fungicides and their mixtures with mineral fertilizers depending on the quality of phreatic water, and drinking tap water (municipal tap water) was investigated. Insecticides pyrimiphos-methyl and imidacloprid, fungicides propioneb and mancozeb and mineral fertilizers (Fertikare I, Fertikare II, Fertikare III and Wuxal super-abbreviated FI, FII and FIII) were investigated. Stability of each product of spray liquid, single or mixed, was tested using CIPAC approved methods. Stability of Antracol WP 70+ Wuxal super tank-mix spray in tap water was reduced beyond the acceptable limit (54.6%) in municipal tap water and in phreatic water (53.8%), and the three-component mixture Antracol WP-70+Actellic50+FI in both waters (59.6 -59.7%). Stabilities of those two mixtures were significantly lower - bellow 60%, compared to Antracol WP-70 suspension, which was satisfactory but again lower in phreatic than in tap water. The reduction of spray emulsion of Actellic 50+FI in phreatic water was observed one hour after preparation. Most of pesticide mixture suspension stabilities were lower in phreatic water compared to those in drinking tap water. The data indicated a dependence of spray stability on water quality and tank-mix partner.
