Sažetak
Uvod/Cilj Sezonski karakter velikog kašlja (pertussis) (VK) nije precizno utvrđen. Cilj ovog rada je bio da se opiše sezonsko javljanje velikog kašlja u Južnobačkom okrugu Vojvodine, Srbija, tokom četiri uzastopne godine. Metode Podaci za ovu opservacionu studiju dobijeni su iz vanbolničkih i bolničkih ustanova Južnobačkog okruga, u periodu od 1. januara 2013. do 31. decembra 2016. godine. Sezonska distribucija VK je procenjivana među bolesnicima koji su ispunjavali jedan ili više kriterijuma kliničkih definicija slučaja VK predloženih od Globalne pertusisne inicijative. Laboratorijska potvrda VK dobijena je upotrebom PCR metoda ili serološkim (ELISA) testovima. Rezultati Od ukupno 1 043 ispitanika, kod 28,8% je dobijena laboratorijska potvrda VK sa najvećom prevalencijom (66%) u junu 2016. godine. Posmatrano po godišnjim dobima (proleće, leto, jesen i zima), nije utvrđeno postojanje značajne razlike u prosečnom broju svih laboratorijski testiranih bolesnika ili u broju laboratorijskih potvrđenih slučajeva VK. Prosečan broj laboratorijski potvrđenih slučajeva VK kod bolesnika uzrasta do šest godina i kod bolesnika uzrasta od sedam do 10 godina bio je značajno veći leti u poređenju sa ostala tri godišnja doba tokom četiri uzastopne godine posmatranja (p = 0,020 i p = 0,049). Zaključak Posle uvođenja novih definicija, povećanjem svesti među lekarima o prisustvu VK nisu utvrđene jasne sezonske razlike u njegovoj pojavi na ispitivanoj teritoriji. Uporedni porast učešća laboratorijski potvrđenih slučajeva VK tokom leta među mlađom i odraslom populacijom ukazuje na mogućnost da se on prenosi unutar porodica.
