Dynamic-mechanical investigation of cured filled polymeric system of hydroxyl terminated poly(butadiene)/isophorone diisocyanate

The aim of this work was a dynamic-mechanical testing of the cured filled polymeric system of hydroxyl-terminated poly(butadiene)-HTPB/isophorone diisocyanate-IPDI. The temperature and frequency dependence of the dynamic mechanical properties - storage modulus (G'), loss modulus (G') and loss tangent (tan ɓ = G' / G') - are presented. The shift factors, ɑT, and the coefficients C1 and C2 in the WLF equation are determined. A good agreement was observed between the experimental and calculated values of the shift factors, ɑT , so one can conclude that, for the tested HTPB/IPDI sample, the WLF equation with the calculated values of the constants C1 and C2 is valid in the whole temperature range of the test.
