Abstract
The choice of an adequate way of organizing occupational safety in the production system is crucial for the efficient implementation of all activities and achieving the set goals of occupational safety and health. The decision-making process for the employer is often extremely complex due to the presence of competitive and conflicting goals among the available criteria or alternatives. The application of the AHP approach is a suitable tool to help the employer in the decision-making process in choosing how to organize occupational safety. The selection of criteria used for the selection of alternatives for the organization of occupational safety and health was performed after the analysis of three different organizational models of management of protection in business systems from different industries. The conducted AHP analysis identified the organization of occupational safety and health independently in the business system in a special organizational unit (service, sector, department, etc.) as the optimal alternative from the perspective of the employer as a decision maker.
