Rice soils (risosoils) of Kochansko field as key trait of seed qualiity

Abstract
The fertility of the rizosols can be increased through the meliorative application of CaCO 3 and phosphour, deeper plough, NPK fertilization and irrigation, plough by contours, crop rotation with forage plants, green manure and other measures as a part of GAP. Depending of the vegetation and the system of cultivation the needs of fertilizers are as follows: 50-80 kg/ha nitrogen, 50-100 kg/ha phosphorus, although the fertilization with potassium have positive effect on plants, especially potatoes. The total amount of phosphorus and potassium and about one third of the nitrogen should be incorporated in fall during deep plough and rest of the fertilizers during the vegetation before the cultivation and during the irrigation. Integrated use of mineral fertilizers with organic source of nitrogen as biological approach targeted at better utilization, incorporation and creating healthy and well shaped grain with good quality and longevity. The need of the European market, especially in the former Yugoslavia and Russia, provide valid reasons for the development of rice-production in this region. The marketing strategy to reach out to potential vendors and be aware of the perspectives of rice-production.
