Sažetak
Popularnost metodologije teorije racionalnog izbora nije rezultat samo težnje da se stvore proverljive prognoze, već i nastojanja da se formiraju izvesne ili nove implikacije. Teoretičari racionalnog izbora koriste matematičke modele kako bi objasnili smisao komplikovanih društvenih interakcija. Model racionalnog izbora u sferi kriminala je usvojio dva standarda ekonomske racionalnosti - standard racionalnost ličnog interesa (the self-interested standard of rationalit) i standard racionalnost cilja (the present-aim standard). Standard racionalnost ličnog interesa pretpostavlja da ljudi, pre svega, teže da ostvare lične interese. Suprotno, standard racionalnost cilja dopušta izvedene interese: kulturne, socijalne, psihološke ili emocionalne. Ovaj rad razmatra dejstvo određenih faktora na proces donošenja odluka u sferi kriminala. Posebna pažnja je posvećena sociološkim, psihološkim i drugim neekonomskim faktorima koji utiču na odluku pojedinca da prekrši zakon i zaradi enormnu sumu novca.
