Dynamics of mineral N in soil and dynamics of the N uptake by lettuce yield after application of organic fertilizers

In a field trial set up on a farm certified for organic production in Kisač, we studied the effect of the application of different organic fertilizers (OF) on the content of mineral forms of nitrogen (N) in the soil, and dynamics of N uptake by lettuce yield (Lactuca sativa sub. sp. Sekalina). Treatments in field trial were: farmyard manure (ST); guano (G) and treatment without fertilization (Ø1). The content of mineral forms of N in the soil was significantly higher with fertilized treatments when compared to the control for the most part of the vegetation and in both years of research. Differences between the contents of mineral N in the soil between treatments ST and G, were not statistically significant.
