Abstract
The Labor Law defines the meaning of the trade union. The trade union is considered as an autonomous, democratic and independent organization of employees in which they voluntary unite in order to represent, present, improve and protect their professional, labor, economic, social, cultural, and other particular and collective interests. The establishment of the trade union does not require any previous approval, but only registration at the competent authority. However, only a trade union, in which the representativeness is established based on the law, shall be considered representative. In addition to this, this paper deals with specific provisions on activities of the trade union included in the Labor Law, provisions that regulate the rights and status of the trade union representatives and their critical review.
