Role of social medicine specialist in primary and secondary health care
Uloga specijaliste socijalne medicine u sistemu primarne i sekundarne zdravstvene zaštite

Abstract
The paper presents roots and importance of social medicine. It consumes experience and results of this medicine branch in Health Center of Užice. Having in mind importance of social medicine for society as much as for health institutions, this paper underlines necessity of its implementation into New Public Health Care. It also insist on use of new, especially informational, technologies on this field.
Sažetak
Rad se bavi poreklom i značajem socijalne medicine. Obuhvata iskustva u radu i rezultate iz ove oblasti u Zdravstvenom centru Užice i konkretne predloge za njeno unapređenje kao važnog segmenta javnog zdravlja. Kako se radi o grani važnoj ne samo za medicinske ustanove već i za društvo u celini, u radu se ističe neophodnost njene implementacije u novo javno zdravlje, kao i primene savremenih metoda rada i novih, na prvom mestu, informatičkih tehnologija.
