Influence of species and forms of biomass on boilers heat power

Development and improvement of technologies for energy efficient and environmentally sound use of several types of agricultural and forest biomass and possible utilization for cogeneration (MESTD - 42011)

The paper presents the monitoring and analysis of the influence of the type of combustion of biomass on the thermal power of the boiler plant in the combustion of several types and forms of biomass. The main task in the research was to examine the impact of the suitability for the use of various types of biomass (by origin, shape and size) in the boiler plant, which was designed and constructed for the combustion of biomass (small conventional bale) with manual fuel injection. The following biofuels were used as material: wheat straw bals, maize stems (with leaves), pelleted maize cobs, vineyard bundles in bundles and branches from orchards with a diameter of up to 60 mm. The obtained results can be used to improve the operation of the boiler plant with manual burning (methods and dynamics of combustion and combustion), introduction of automation in the operation of such plants and improvement of their design solutions.
