aPhoenix Capital Partners Inc., Canada bPhoenix Capital Group, Canada
Abstract
Healthcare is changing. With increased patient access to technology and medical information, and a greater global demand to get better health outcomes for the money being spent, the traditional healthcare business model is being forced to transform. This paper, based on the Study cited in the paper, will demonstrate some of the benefits that have been realized with the implementation of EMRs in community based care practices. In practices demonstrating advanced EMR use, further emerging benefits at the practice and health system level are being realized. The evidence indicates that there is a compelling reason to continue to advance EMR adoption and maturity of use across Canada. Also in the paper will be given the recommendations for further advancement of the EMR use.
