Variability and stability of stem height and harvest index in Triticum sp

Abstract
Phenotypic variability, as well as, stem height and harvest index stability of 28 divergent wheat genotypes of different ploidity have been examined. Twenty hexaploid genotypes were selected wheat varieties from Novi Sad and all over the World. Eight genotypes of total studied sample were tetraploid wheat. High stability level was denoted for the most of the genotypes. Stability of wild relatives was somewhat lower comparing to selected varieties. According to Principal Component Analysis, the first component carried out the greatest share of total variability for the most of the genotypes.
