Manager's decision - making in the organizations - food producers: Modern concept about manager's personality and management process

Abstract
The content of this paper is concerned with the manager's personality and the process of managerial decision making in organizations - food producers. The manager is by profession a person who makes decisions. He faces unstable procedures, which should be followed, conflicts: uncertainties, and risks. To overcome them is his mission. This paper is about technical, personal and conceptual skills that a manager should posses, contributing to find a key for his success. The field of management is divided into basic components: planning, organizing, coordination, recruiting people, managing, controlling, and evaluating. Special contribution is the discussion of the issue of decision making during crises when decisions should be made under great stress.
Sažetak
Sadržaj rada odnosi se na ličnost menadžera i proces menadžerskog odlučivanja u organizaciji-proizvođaču hrane. Menadžer je po profesiji onaj koji donosi odluke. On je svakodnevno suočen sa nepostojanjem procedura koje treba slediti, kontaktima, neizvesnostima i rizikom, kao svojim protivnicima. Pobeda nad njima njegova je misija. U radu se govori o tehničkim, personalnim i konceptualnim veštinama koje treba da poseduje menadžer, a koje doprinose pronalaženju ključa njegove uspešnosti. Područje menadžmenta razloženo je na osnovne komponente: planiranje, organizaciju, koordinaciju, izbor osoblja, upravljanje, kontrolu i evaluaciju. Poseban doprinos rada je razmatranje odlučivanja u krizi kada se odluke moraju donositi pod velikim pritiskom.
