University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture, Serbia
Over the last few years our country has undergone a more intensive transformation process of agricultural and food industry enterprises. The paper gives a comparative analysis of basic indicators of agricultural enterprises' financial result and financial position in Vojvodina over the seven-year period of transition (1997-2003). Cumulative balances have been used as basic data sources. The analysis shows these two very important economic areas in the Vojvodina as well as in Serbia are in unfavorable position. Just in the period of more intensive transition the results are getting worse. The paper points out to accumulation of the losses, drastically disturbed financial structure, problems with liquidity maintaining, unfavorable debt structure, reduced net capital real value, and 25 percent reduction of number of the employed in agriculture.
