The role, importance and characteristics of modern tourism trade fairs

Abstract
Although fairs are old and traditional market institutions, they still have unabated importance in the (modern) business world. Despite the presence of new forms of business and promotion, fairs are still irreplaceable in the industry of tourism. Tourist fairs represents direct contact between the global demand and supply under the same roof. As actual worldwide situation and trends points out, for the creating and raising of the market share, and for the promotion of the business appearance, tourist fairs are becoming more popular every day.
