Abstract
This paper is on the insufficiently analysed poems for children by Vladislav Petkovic Dis. They are being enlightened in the context of the magazine they were published in (Mala Srbadija) and biographical data from life of Dis. Poems are observed from the context of development of Serbian poetry for children, focusing primarily at the particularities of their expression and authenticity of the view of children. In a few poems for children by Dis, there were different poetical possibilities in forming certain topics and motifs in connection with the children's world. This is why in the poems for children by Dis, there is a child as a lyrical voice or an adult addressing children not with the purpose of teaching them, mocking them, but gives advice, directs them and favours them in comparison to the world of adults. Very clear picture of the school is particularly expressed, representing learning, knowledge, dominantly warm, almost idealized notion about the child given by the poems about nature or poems about national identity.
