One of the goals of the electronic government (e-Government) is certainly to improve the access to information and services and therefore provide citizens with the opportunity to actively participate in the exercise of their civil rights. In accordance with the statutory powers, the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) has records - in its electronic databases - on all the vehicles registered in the Republic of Serbia. The project entitled Electronic service for the issue of registration stickers by using eGovernment portal has been developed with the aim to implement the first completely e-Government solution which should connect the three main branches of e-Government: government authorities, business entities and citizens, as well as to improve the service functions of the Ministry of the Interior (MOI). The primary goal of e-Government implementation, as well as the project Electronic service for the issue of registration stickers by using eGovernment portal is to meet the needs of all stakeholders, especially the needs of citizens. This service should enable faster and more efficient service for the issue of registration stickers of the vehicles contained in a single register of vehicles, so the owners of the vehicles will be able to complete all the necessary technicalities in one place - in the technical inspection. Seen from the perspective of the Ministry of the Interior, this electronic service should reduce congestion at the front offices in police directorates and police stations. Generally speaking, Serbia will achieve more efficient and effective operation of the government authorities and holders of delegated authorities in this way, by using information and communication technology (ICT) and functional development of e-Government solutions in the function of governance, economic growth and reducing administrative burden.
