Komunikativnost je veoma značajna za opštu vojnogeografsku procenu. Poznavati sve elemente i vrste saobraćaja znači moći pravilno proceniti geoprostor sa stanovišta funkcionalnosti za izvođenje borbenih dejstava. U kompleksnom razmatranju geoprostora ratišta komunikacije, komunikacijski pravci i snopovi komunikacija bitno opredeljuju odluke komandanata u pogledu težišta, grupisanja snaga i zaključivanja o mogućnosti uspešnog izvođenja borbenih zadataka. Prilikom sagledavanja saobraćajne funkcije na ratištu treba uzimati u obzir plovne puteve i vazdušne luke, koji doprinose obavljanju postavljenih zadataka, posebno u nizijskim delovima ratišta. Procena komunikativnosti ratišta ukazuje na prednosti, u odnosu na protivnika, kada se razmatra odbrana jugoslovenskog ratišta i njegov geostrategijski položaj u bližem i širem okruženju.
Abstract
Possibilities for transportation and movement are a very significant element of a general military geographic estimate. To know all elements and types of communication and transportation means to be able to assess the geographic space rightly from the aspect of possibilities for carrying out of combat operations. In a complex assessment of the geographic space of the theatre of war, communications and communication directions basically determine the decisions of commanders concerning the gravity point of deployment of forces and their conclusions pertaining the possibilities for execution of combat missions. In the assessment of the communication and transportation functions in the theatre of war have to be taken into account also inland and sea navigation routes and airports, which contribute to the execution of missions, particularly in lower areas of the theatre of war. The assessment of communications and the transportation infrastructure of the theatre of war makes clear the advantages in relation to the adversary when the defense of the Yugoslav theatre of war and its geostrategic position in its environment are reviewed.
