Sažetak
(ne postoji na srpskom)
Is macroeconomic planning needed or has it been a 'forgotten' category in our milieu? What happened, in the meantime, with the function of planning on the international stage, especially so in market economies? The author wishes to indicate the significance of planning in light of the rapidly developing functions of the state and the macroeconomic policy, in general. He also wishes to point out the level of interdependence and complementarily among the elements of a triangle formed by market - planning - economic policies. Institutional organization of planning is another specific aspect which, in combination with the overall function of planning, tends to creates a multitude of dilemmas. Finally, the purpose of the paper is to point out the expansion of planning in market economies through international organizations and groups of countries, in view of the distinctive role macroeconomic planning plays in the process of globalization and internationalization. It is in this context that the paper particularly focuses on the European Union tendency to incorporate the element of sustainability into the system of planning of the agrarian development.
