Abstract
The police system in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a complex uncoordinated police system that faces a number of problems in its work. The police system was built by a large number of police agencies whose jurisdictions are not clearly divided, even more intertwined, and part of the system is established contrary to the provisions of the Bosnia and Herzegovina's Constitution. As a complex uncoordinated police system, it is subject to many factors that negatively affect its functionality, and we can mark politics as one of the key ones. The aim of the paper is to identify the impact of policy on the functionality of police agencies and determine forms of political action. The paper is based on research and analysis carried out in the past period, and some research results will be presented in this paper. The general hypothesis of this paper is that politics has a major influence on the work of police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which in turn has their inadequate functionality. Methods of analysis, method of synthesis, deduction method and statistical method were used from scientific methods in paper.
