Comparative analysis of women's education in the villages of Walachia regions of Homolje and parishes of Metohian Gora population

Abstract
This paper deals with a comparative analysis of education of female population in the villages of the Walachia regions of Homolje and parishes of Metohian Gora. These regions are still dominated by influential environments, traditions and customs, and the Vlahinja and belief, in all spheres of social life, work and education as well. Because of the fact the female population in these regions in the past and today was little educated, and their formal education usually ends up with an elementary school. Nowadays, a number of women and children completed high school, while a negligible number of women in both regions, continued their education at high schools and colleges. Based on these factors, it was interesting to approach comparative analysis (based on research results obtained by a separate survey in February and March 2009. in villages of Walachia regions such Homolje, and in July 2009. in villages in the parish of Metohian Gora), identify and assess opinions of Walachs and Goranians stating the reasons for their lack of participation and possible contribution in education lies in emancipation. The results of theoretical and empirical research conducted included a selected sample of 136 women who had confirmed the hypothesis that there was a significant difference in the estimates and opinions of Walachs and Goranians so that the reason why for the lack of participation and possible contribution in education lies in emancipation.
